Curated Heat

Curated Heat makes 1019 Sauce and 1019 Relish by hand in Tlhabane, Rustenburg. The range began in a home kitchen during the pandemic, inspired by the habanero dishes of Ghana, and takes its name from 1019 Monareng Street, the family home where the founder grew up cooking for family and friends.

Both start from a blend of bell peppers. The sauce works as a cook-in sauce, marinade, dip and condiment, and is made without tomato. The relish is chunky and smoky, made for boerewors rolls, braai meat, burgers and sandwiches. Each comes in Mild, Hot and Extra Hot.
