  • Shea Butter: Available in both Yellow and Ivory varieties, our shea butter is 100% pure, unrefined, and sourced from West Africa. The yellow shea butter is infused with the roots of the Borututu tree (a traditional African herb) to enhance its antioxidant profile, while the ivory shea butter is the raw, natural form. Both are packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins A and E, making them deeply moisturising and nourishing for all skin types. Shea butter has been used for millennia by African women to protect skin from harsh weather and keep it soft and supple.
  • Shea Butter: Packaged in airtight, food-grade containers to preserve freshness. Our shea butter comes in blocks or jars and is available in 250g (8.8 oz) and 1kg (35.2 oz) sizes. Dimensions vary by container; for example, a 250g jar might be about 10 cm (4 inches) in diameter and 8 cm (3 inches) tall. The butter is ivory to yellow in colour and has a creamy texture.

It is derived from the nuts of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa), which grows in the savanna regions across Africa. Women collect the shea nuts, crack and roast them, then grind them into a paste and knead it with water to extract the butter. This labour-intensive process is traditionally done by women in cooperatives, and it’s a cherished practice passed down through generations. The butter is then molded into blocks or jars. Our yellow shea butter gets its golden hue from the Borututu root, a traditional herbal addition that not only colours the butter but also imparts medicinal properties. This yellow shea butter is known to have stronger antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. The ivory shea butter is the raw, unadulterated form, prized for its rich vitamin content.
