TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This competition is open to South African citizens aged 18 years and older who
possess a valid South African Identity Document.

2. This competition is not open to any director, employee, agency, representative, prize. sponsor or contractor of Proudly South African or their immediate family members including any person directly or indirectly (including their immediate family members) involved in the organisation or running of the competition.

3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. Proudly South African does not accept responsibility for entries not received for
whatsoever reason.

HOW TO ENTER:
5. The rules of the competition are as follows:
5.1. The competition is only open to entries posted as TikTok, Facebook Reels and Instagram Reels. Entries submitted on any other social media platform will not be considered and will therefore be disqualified from this competition.
5.2. Show us via a TikTok, Facebook or Instagram Reel of how creative you can get with making the most palatable meal using the vegetable cabbage.
5.3. Entrants need to purchase local this festive season, and for this reason, only local products MUST be purchased and used for this competition.
5.3.1. Products must include:
5.3.1.1. Mandatory local cabbage, and
5.3.1.2. No MEAT products must be included
5.3.1.3. Any other local products (that may complement the dish may also
be considered) such as condiments and may include (but not limited to)
spices, cooking oils, etc.

6. To qualify for entering, entrants must:
6.1 follow the Proudly South African TikTok, Facebook and Instagram pages, and
6.2 tag Proudly SA in the entries, and
6.3 use the following qualifying hashtags in their entry post: #CabbageChallenge
#LovedHereMadeHere to qualify.

7. Proudly South African and the prize sponsors reserve the right to cancel the
competition at any time for any reason whatsoever and shall not be liable in anyway
whatsoever to entrants for any cause or action whatsoever in the event of the
cancellation of the competition.

8. Proudly SA will identify one winner per week.

9. The prize package is as follows: six lucky winners will each win a R5000 Money
voucher to beat the JanUWorry blues. Voucher prize may not be exchanged for Cash.

10. On acceptance of their prizes, each of the winners give consent for their picture
donning their competition prizes with their full names and provinces to be utilised, published and/or broadcast on various media platforms (including digital) at the
discretion of Proudly SA, its representatives, prize sponsors and participating judges until the end of time (no personal contact information of competition winners will be shared or displayed without their prior approval in writing).

11. Prizes are not transferable and are not negotiable.

12. Proudly South African reserves the right to alter the rules of the competition or the prizes at their own discretion and may take effect immediately at the discretion of Proudly South African. No entrant shall have any right of recourse against Proudly South African as a result of the amendment to the competition rules and/or prizes at any point in time.

13. The winners will be selected by a panel of representatives of Proudly SA, and/or
representatives of sponsors, and will be announced on all Proudly SA social media
pages by 30 January 2026 – date subject to change.
13.1. Following the announcement of the winners, the winning
contestants understand that the prize(s) will take up to 60 working
days to finalise and be issued.

14. Proudly SA’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into after the fact.

15. Winners’ use and acceptance of prizes are at their own risk. Proudly South African and the prize sponsors (and/or their respective agencies) cannot be held liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage as a result of the entrants’ participation in the competition/competition events, winning, accepting and/or utilising competition prizes, or any other activity relating to this competition.

16. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the competition rules laid out above will result in the immediate disqualification of the entrant.
