That is the story of litt le Miriam Makeba who used her remarkable voice to bring light to the injusti ces that the people of colour faced during the Apartheid era. Born in 1932, a young Miriam grew up in a ti me where people were judged for the colour of their skin. Living in poverty she had to help her mother from a young age with cleaning homes, where she sang to make the days go faster. What she did not yet know though, was how one day, her voice would help bring freedom to the people of South Africa.
